Christmas Eve Wishes CAL - Week Five

UPDATE: This pattern is now available to buy as an advert free pdf download. The pattern includes all six parts of the original CAL in one document. It is available in UK and US terms. You can find it in my shop here.

We are on the home stretch now. This week is the last section of the main body of the blanket. Next week we will add a border and all the finishing touches.

If you have just found this CAL and haven’t seen any of the buildup posts, I will link them for you below:

Click here to read my CAL Introduction post. This has all the information you need to know such as dates and materials required. This post also includes links to buy yarn packs.

TIPS OF THE WEEK

Read this week’s pattern carefully before you begin. There is a change to row direction. It is marked clearly in the pattern and I talk about it in the video too, but I will highlight it below as well.

Start this week, ROW 128, with the RIGHT SIDE (bobbles sticking out) towards you.

When you have completed row 130, FASTEN OFF AND DO NOT TURN. This is the only time in the pattern you will do this.

Start the snowflake chart with the RIGHT SIDE facing you.

Work the remaining rows from side to side as usual, without changing ends. Note that, due to not turning at the end of row 130, even rows are now the back and odd rows are the front. As long as you follow the pattern as it is written and do not change ends again your bobbles will be on the right side.

Use the week 2 video if you need a reminder of how to work the snowflakes. This week they are done in exactly the same way.

Here are my three blankets in various stages of completion 😁
