Scandi Meadow
I am delighted to be able to share with you my Scandi Meadow Blanket.
It’s an idea that I've had in my head for a long time, but only got around to working on in the last few months. Sometimes that hardest part of the design process isn’t coming up with the idea, it’s getting it out of your head!
I started by making lots and LOTS of test pieces. Most of them ended up in the bin, but eventually I had a set of squares that I could imagine becoming a blanket.
I took inspiration from Scandinavian Folk Art and from the work of Jocelyn Proust. I love her fun designs and use of repeating motifs.
I knew I wanted a bright, summery colour palette and ended up choosing two colour ways. Both have the same pastel rainbow shades, but different background colours. Fresh white and a striking cobalt blue.
So here they are, my finished Scandi Meadow blankets!
I’ve written a detailed, 21-page pattern for the blanket, with picture tutorials and plenty of detail to guide you through. There are four accompanying videos too, so even if you are a beginner you will be able to make along. They are on my YouTube channel, linked below.

I have used:
New Fashion DK 100g balls
3 x Airforce OR 3 x White
1 each Clematis, Candy Twist, Baby Pink, Peach, Lemon, Mojito, Mint, Cloud Blue.
You will also need a 3.5mm & 4mm hook, yarn needle and scissors.
